Depth

Repetition
Repetition is a way that the artist can use to draw the artists attention into the photo. This creates depth by making the space between the images pop. Repetition is an easy way to compose your photos and makes the images look very nice.

 Depth Staging

Depth staging is when you have an image in the foreground and an image in the background. They are both the focus of the picture and they both are a big part of the photo.

 Leading lines

Leading lines are photos that have lines that lead to the main focus of the photo or all the way back to the horizon. Leading lines indicate depth because of how it allows you to see the distance between objects better.

  1. Your depth staging photos are very successful. My favorite leading line photo in this series is the photo with the plant. It very unique and has a very cool angle.

  2. These photos have a very clear subject, which makes them very simplistic and appealing to the eye. Most of these photos give off a sense of depth very well, but some of the repetition photos look flat. The rest do give off a sense of depth very well.

  3. most of these shots are very minimalistic and thus very clear what type of rule they are conveying.the first leading lines photo is great because of the pastel colors and also because it's intentionally blurry, which you should definitely do more of

  4. Many of these photos especially the leading lines seem very simple but still clearly show what you were going for with each photo. I really like the photo of the stairs. It looks very mysterious .

  5. I like how in each of these photos there is one clear subject as it shows you know the rules well. I like how in many of your photos you kept the colours simple.

  6. I really like the color in the first few images, I think that they are all really well edited, but the color of the first few is really evident and bright.

  8. I like how some of your photos are abstract, yet emulate the theme and how some have a clear focus.

  11. I really enjoyed your photo of the reflection of the sunset in the window of a car. It displays a leading line into the sunset very well

Spring Project #2

For my second week, I switched over from shooting little figures to capturing Pac Heights architecture. To get the pictures I shot up the wall and tried to capture the sharp angles and contrasts of the glassy buildings. I like the way that the glass reflects and creates the bright reflections which contrast with the darker backgrounds.

Winter 4

Winter 4 For this batch of photos, I hoped to create a sort of simpler vibe with not a lot going on with there being a ton of things going on. I prefer a simple photo with nothing too flashy going on and one main point that the eye naturally gravitates to. I, however, do like the vibrant colors of the last photos so I included them.

Portfolio

Portfolio The images I chose for my portfolio I feel demonstrate the direction in which I took the project. I hoped to take photos that were pleasing to the eye and at the same time captured David Gillivers little people. I was hoping that you got a vibe of the person is either resting from doing a task or they are doing the task.In the ones were they appear stagnant perhaps there is meant to be a subtle energy where they are supposed to be doing what they are doing. They are supposed to be resting and that something was happening before they were there and something will happen afterwards.
