Composition 3

For this series of photos, I used several techniques such as asymmetry symmetry and balance. Symmetry is when the image is perfectly equal in all ways the left exactly matches the right and vice versa. Asymmetry is when the right does not match the left and vice versa. Balance is when there are two objects of close to equal weights on both sides of the frame.

  1. I really like the colors as they catch my eye. Also, I liked how you found all of these methods in nature.

  2. The colors in all of these shots are very well edited, but there are some with a lot of black that seem a little dark. Otherwise, the colors serve to catch the eye very well and make the photo very engaging.

  4. The colors on the asymmetrical photos really stand out well. I also like a lot of the weird patterns made through the mirror effect.

  6. Your use of colors in these images are great and I liked how you had a variety of darker and lighter pictures. Your images in the balanced section were truly wonderful and demonstrated the correct visual recipe while also incorporating wild life. Great Work!

  8. I looked through these pictures and the one that caught my eye was the one of the sunset where you used the mirror tool. It is a great picture that displays the red and orange colors very well. I loved looking at these photos. Great work

Slo-Mo

Slo-Mo For this batch of images, I tried to bring out the colors often making the photos seem unnatural and that you can not really tell what the photo is of. I tried to capture the light trails leaving the main point that I originally captured moving the camera from side to side and upside down to make these trails and manipulate them in ways that I liked. I also found that some of the images looked better in black and white. I used a density filter to take these photos during the daytime because I couldn't take them at the shutter speed necessary to make the blur. I hoped that the light trails coming off the subjects in the image reminded you of something electrical and futuristic.

Draft 1

For my artist, I chose David Gilliver. He uses little people to stage scenes in everyday life. These scenes can use everyday objects but do not have to as you can see many of my scenes do not involve these things. The background varies although I do like the lightbox much more and I will use the box every time from now on. Experimenting with different backgrounds and trying to employ more everyday objects, not toys. However, the main part of the scene is the interaction that the little people have with something else. This means that any interaction is the goal of the photo but I am going to bring in more things and shoot in the box.
