Draft 1

For my artist, I chose David Gilliver. He uses little people to stage scenes in everyday life. These scenes can use everyday objects but do not have to as you can see many of my scenes do not involve these things. The background varies although I do like the lightbox much more and I will use the box every time from now on. Experimenting with different backgrounds and trying to employ more everyday objects, not toys. However, the main part of the scene is the interaction that the little people have with something else. This means that any interaction is the goal of the photo but I am going to bring in more things and shoot in the box.

  1. Nice work Pablo! These images are great because you made it so the figurines are truly interacting with the objects. I realize that the closer you get to a subject the harder it is to keep the quality, but I think finding the balance between quality and closeness is something you can most definitely achieve. Keep up the good work.

  2. Hey there Pablo! Your set this week was very funny and entertaining to browse through. I like the effect of the lightbox, but i also like how those figures are interacting with the clay and the scene you made outside. Great work this week and keep it up!

  3. I like both the lightbox and outdoor photos, but I'd love to see more photos with the figurines interacting with nature or buildings in the neighborhood. You could try incorporating small elements like cracks in the sidewalk or vines, as they would seem huge next to the figures.

  4. I really like the mix of lightbox and outdoor photos, I think it creates two really nice and unique styles.

  5. You captured the mood of David Gilliver, and your scenes are very well composed and fun to look at. The lighting in some of the outdoors shots is a little too much, and it gives off some glare on the figures. You might want to take more photos under controlled lighting.

  6. Your photos in this set are amazing. I really enjoy how you put body posture into the tiny people showing their emotion. I like the photo of the workers trying to get gum off the ground. Your photos really capture the tiny people

  8. Pablo I really love these and the task you have the figures doing especially the ones outside and wonder if you could include more scenery

  9. Nice work Pablo! I think you did a good job with the photos outside of the box. To me they look like they're doing things I would see everyday and don't seem as much as a set scene as they do in the black and white photos.
