Slo-mo 2

During this weeks slo-mo I did my best to do what I did last week and improve on it. I didn't do much light painting last week but I tried to focus on it this week. I looked at the light trails formed by car lights ,  street lights ,  and the flashlight of someone's phone. All in all, I did my best to challenge myself this week and focus on new things.

Slo-Mo

Slo-Mo For this batch of images, I tried to bring out the colors often making the photos seem unnatural and that you can not really tell what the photo is of. I tried to capture the light trails leaving the main point that I originally captured moving the camera from side to side and upside down to make these trails and manipulate them in ways that I liked. I also found that some of the images looked better in black and white. I used a density filter to take these photos during the daytime because I couldn't take them at the shutter speed necessary to make the blur. I hoped that the light trails coming off the subjects in the image reminded you of something electrical and futuristic.

Double Exposures

Double Exposures To make this batch of double exposure photographs I did my best to find photos that would look nice as backgrounds and then put photos that I thought would look nice over them. My goal was to create photos that looked out of place and hopefully stood out as things which you don't see every day. I tried to find colors that looked nice together as well as I felt that black and white flattened some of the images and made them look too one-dimensional.

reflections

Reflections While taking these photographs I tried to see the world that is hidden inside of the reflections in store windows , mirrors , and even vending machines . I took the photos with the idea that there is something hidden in the world behind the windows. Most of the photos are in black and white to help create a common theme and that they flow and seem cohesive. The images are hopefully supposed to be a little funny with the captions.
