Composition 3

For this series of photos, I used several techniques such as a symmetry symmetry and balance. Symmetry is when the image is perfectly equal in all ways the left exactly matches the right and vice versa. Asymmetry is when the right does not match the left and vice versa. Balance is when there are two objects of close to equal weights on both sides of the frame.  Asymmetry   Symmetry Balance

Pictorial Lines

For this project, we took pictures with pictorial lines running through them. There are three types of this type of composition Arrangement, Decorative and Lines that lead to the subject. Arrangement means that the lines that make up the photos if they are taken away the photo will not be of anything and the lines make up the photo. Decorative means that the lines don't make up the photos but it is just lines on the photograph.  Lines that lead to the photo are lines in the photograph that are leading to a subject. But unlike leading lines, they can go from right to left and not necessarily create depth. Arrangement  Leading to subject Decorative

Depth

Repetition Repetition is a way that the artist can use to draw the artists attention into the photo. This creates depth by making the space between the images pop. Repetition is an easy way to compose your photos and makes the images look very nice.   Depth Staging Depth staging is when you have an image in the foreground and an image in the background. They are both the focus of the picture and they both are a big part of the photo.   Leading lines Leading lines are photos that have lines that lead to the main focus of the photo or all the way back to the horizon. Leading lines indicate depth because of how it allows you to see the distance between objects better.
