Portfolio

My Portfolio For my Spring Project, I transitioned from the small figures in a scene to architecture. What I would do is I would walk around and take a picture straight up a building or capture part of the building in the frame. I tried to divide the frame with sharp angles that defined the edges of the building and frame. Or I just shot in a straight line up the building as opposed to straight towards it. Over the past two weeks, I did my best to master this technique and here is my result.

Spring Project #3

For my third week of shooting, I continued with my architecture series. This week I shot up buildings less and capture the skies behind and the buildings themselves. I also mirrored the buildings up and down. I captured the angles of the buildings and the things behind some buildings. I think that this is a great way to finish up this series.

Spring Project #2

For my second week, I switched over from shooting little figures to capturing Pac Heights architecture. To get the pictures I shot up the wall and tried to capture the sharp angles and contrasts of the glassy buildings. I like the way that the glass reflects and creates the bright reflections which contrast with the darker backgrounds.

Spring Project #1

For my first spring project, I worked with little items. I wanted to shoot it in a flat manner that highlighted the depth of the images. I mainly used little green men who are either fighting one another or an enemy.

Second draft

I tried to emulate Tim's style of long exposure by making the photographs subject slightly blurry but the background still. It is also obviously in black and white. Jack used a straight on approach and upped the saturation and shadows. I tried to make it as close as possible to his by emulating everything. Hayden used a background that was simple and put the outline of something in the photo or something cool that he liked so I used Hayden's outline as it had to a portrait. Ozzie did architecture and he shot the subject from an angle that makes them seem larger and more impressive than another angle. Stefan did light painting for his portrait. I did that as well so it was not that hard. I set the timer to a longer time and captured all the light over a longer time. Ben took a photo with a solid color background with him looking at it and then put an animal over the subject. In this photo, I tried to make it look like the feathers were under his e...

first half of pictures

I tried to emulate Bethany's work by adding dots to the photo to emulate her style of scanning the photo and then drawing on it with the picmonkey circle tool. It would be interesting to do it with a scanner but I could not because I edited the photo at home. I tried to emulate Danny's style of light painting by setting the shutter speed to a higher speed than normal with the shutter taking many seconds to click. To emulate David's style I took the photo with a black background and positioned to a side of the frame. The photo is in black and white with a lot of detail around the subject. Declan used a longer shutter time to create some blur in the photo but in a self-portrait, it is hard to tell who the photo is of. I tried to make it obvious but not too obvious who the photo is of. I tried to emulate Owen's work by taking an abstract artistic view of his hand. The shot is straight-on with minimal details.  I tried to emulate Malia ...
